A note on the subject of Beau
Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to cut straight to the chase: Our November 14th show at the Stork Club in Oakland, CA will be Beau’s last show with Please Do Not Fight.
Beau has been playing in bands with me since summer of 2004 – first in our old band Brave Not Noble and now in Please Do Not Fight. I do not know anyone on the planet more dependable, committed, loyal and true to his word than Mr. Beau Dorsett. When Erin next inevitably jumps a curb and bursts her tire right before we’re about to leave on tour I do not know who is going to fix it. Without Beau, there will be much standing around and blinking before – our gazes inability to fix the tire becoming more and more apparent – we’ll probably just give up. Heck, we’ll most likely just have to buy a whole new car. That can only go on so many times before we end up broke and on the street people.
Jokes aside, it really is a sad moment for us and no matter who ends up picking up the mantle in the future there will always be a Beau-sized hole in Please Do Not Fights heart that can’t be replaced. Beau has poured a ton of his time and his heart into this band over the past year that I believe will show in Please Do Not Fights work for years to come. I could not be more thankful for him for that.
That being said we’re also excited for what the future holds for us and for Beau and wish him absolutely nothing but the greatest success in all his future endeavors. We love you Beau and we’ll be meeting for plenty of brews in the future!
