showsies!!!

The show at El Rincon on Saturday, “Zen’s Birthday Show”, was lots of fun!!! There were friends and party hats and cake galore. Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us and cheered us on! And I would like to thank Kubes once again for baking two delicious cakes (one “gluteen free” ).

Zen got a digital camera AND a video camera for his birthday, so expect even more documentation. MORE!!!!

As for our next show, it is this coming Friday. Only a few days away! We will be playing at Picture Atlantic’s CD release party. It’s going to be all ages!! And it’s going to involve Picture Atlantic! And their awesome new album! Heck yes!!!
Oh and by the way, you may or may not know this already or have heard it from Zen, but Aaron Hellam from Castle Ultimate, the very guy who recorded our album with the utmost skill and artistry, is one very awesome part of the whole that is Picture Atlantic! In other words, if you come to this show you will get to see him rock his geetar, which is some fer serious hot stuff to see. I promise.

OMG I had so much coffee today. Too much. *spazzle*

Zen and I went to get lunch today and of course we went to Starbucks afterward, per my telepathic request. I persuaded them to make a peppermint mocha SOY frappucino, which was actually quite good. They made the mistake of asking me how many shots of espresso I wanted, and I answered “two” (where the sane answer would have been “one”….or “none” would have been good too 0.o). Then this evening I had a small pocket of free time between teaching music lessons out in Cupertino, and decided to go to Starbucks AGAIN and get a soy peppermint mocha (hot), which was definitely better than the regular peppermint mocha.

*twitch*

Anyway, if I were playing a show right now I would definitely look about like I did last show (which was a three-coffee day):

Instead I am at home, and I have been goofing around with the synth, coming up with The Postal Service inspired parts.
