The Tour : Epilogue

So I stayed up pretty late last night editing together this last little tour video. It features footage from the drive home as well as after hours hanging out at our last show in Hillsboro, Oregon. It also features a big thank you to everyone who helped make the tour a success and a soundtrack courtesy of Erin’s car stereo which ends up including a lot of Shins and, Portland locals, The Dimes.

I apologize in advance also for the cheesiness of the ending. I could not resist. Editing is fun!

At some point in the video I hear Beau say in the background – “I’m about the ladies! … well, one lady” but that’s all I can make out. It makes me laugh every time. I am also amused by Erin’s technique of filming-while-driving. I know she is afraid her mother will see it and worry but I just want to reassure everyone, it’s okay! Despite the tire incident Erin is a capable driver and also an expert filmer so she must be at least okay at filming-while-driving. Nonetheless, kids, don’t try this at home.

Our last show in Hillsboro on the tour was a lot of fun – I got to see a ton of people I hadn’t seen in forever which was really really nice and my good friend Adam DiCarlo (pictured above) opened the show for us.

I could go on and on about how happy I am with how the tour went and how rewarding and fun it was – and it was – but it’s time to look into the future! We have a new drummer, new shows lined up and big plans ahead now that we’re back home! We had our first practice (With drummer!) since our return home on Wednesday and I couldn’t be more excited for how things are panning out! We really hope you’ll stick with us, it’s been a lot of fun doing this blog and making videos and we hope to keep doing it into the future! Maybe we’ll even set up a Podcast one of these days.

As usual there’s a lot more pictures along this line over on the MySpace and I’ll be uploading the photos from Puyallup soon!

We’ll see you for our last acoustic-ish show next Friday (for more information see the post below)! Please come show us some love and we’ll show you some love right on back.

In a completely appropriate non-creepy way of course.

Red Rock Coffee in Mountain View

So I still have posts for Puyallup and our last show in Hillsboro lined up but the photos and such I wanna post for them are still on Erin and Lex’s respective cameras so it’s going to have to wait a couple of days! Things have been crazy upon our return and while there’s a lot of Please Do Not Fight goings-ons I’m super eager to get to I’m going to have to chill out for now while we all get our stuff sorted out, laundry done, bills paid and feet back into the swing of things.
Anyways, in the mean time I wanted to let you guys know about our last ‘tour date’. We’re playing Red Rock Coffee in Mountain View, CA on Saturday, April 18th at 8pm and we would love if you were in attendance. We’ll be performing our full set of songs from the tour and just chilling out, drinking coffee and having a merry old time before we get all souped up full-rock-band-style again! Which, to be honest, I have been excited about since before we left for tour so now the excitement is just about unbearable. No, I’m not exaggerating.
Playing toned down is fun but soon it will be time to rock once again and work on the new kickin tunes we’ve been brewing!
See you out there.
