well…

three shows done.  salem was very cool. the venue was sweet and the show was good. the blue pepper was a chill little spot that began as a art gallery and framing shop and has expanded into and art gallery/coffe shop/bar/music venue and all around cool place to hang out. pretty mellow. and the guy derrick that runs that place was incredibly nice and supportive.  both bands were tired from the traveling but managed to still play very very well.

portland was awesome. other than the weather it would be a place i could easily live. i really like the fact that it seems a little less taken over by large corporate chains than other cities. I saw a smaller chain called videorama more than i saw blockbusters. we could drive for blocks and see tons of little independent restaurants and stores. its not that other things weren’t there and we did end up going to best buy to look for a firewire cable but still it seemed less overtaken by corporate consumer outlets than many other places in this country. not necessarily true just my observation from 24 or so hours in the city. also it does have more microbreweries per capita than anywhere in the world.

i don’t have any video or photos on my computer from those shows but other folks in the band have posted or will post some.
i do however have some clips and photos from the most recent show at Zippy’s Java Lounge in Everett Washington. Zippy the owner of zippy’s is actually this dalmatian erin is giving a treat.

Drone Hooligan played first and they were pretty sweet. Sean played an acoustic guitar and Will played a small drum kit. Then while we were playing some of their friends showed up so they got up to play a few more songs after we were done and instead of setting up his full kit again Will just played drums his kick and the tip jar. we do have a video clip of that somewhere but its not on my computer. but heres a picture from their first set.

and here is one of us at zippy’s. (i swear i am not supposed be playing right there. i’m not just zoning out)
and here’s what i have to say about the tour so far
