It’s Sunday night and we’re staying out with Spike’s parents in Snohomish, Washington. They are spoiling us to great extents which become even greater in comparison with all the driving and floor sleeping we have been doing! We all get a room of our own. With beds. Big beds! We don’t have a show tonight so we’ll get to catch up on all the sleep we’ve been missing. (and in big comfy beds!)

Salem, OR, was good to us! We played at the Blue Pepper, which is a super sweet place that you should go by and get some coffee or some food or some beer (or some cheescake–that was super yum!) if you’re ever in the area!! We were dead tired but somehow managed to rock it out and get some hand-clappin’ audience participation! Drone Hooligan played a rockin’ set and I got a bit of video that hopefully Zen will edit for me later

The next night we played the Red Room in Portland, OR. That show was high energy and we had such a great time!! Drone Hooligan played after us, then a band called Foul Tip who are on a tour of their own. Very friendly guys, with some incredibly rad songs that get you on your feet and jumping!
At both shows Zen and I got to see some friends we haven’t seen in years, which was so wonderful!! And of course we got to meet some new friends as well!

Day 1 video!

We’re in Portland, OR! We had a great show last night in Salem and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came out and got CDs and showed support! It meant an awful lot to us.

We’ll post more about the show later but for now I just wanted to share this little video clip I made of some of our events on the way up – needless to say it WAS eventful! For those of you who don’t know we’re traveling in two cars – the TourPathfinder and the TourCelica. We have two TourShortwaveRadios and code names and Beau – sorry, Red Falcon – radios from one car to tell me how bad my driving is and then Sky High (aka Geoff) radios back to tell him he agrees.

Anyways, at 8pm right as we’re leaving Erin (aka Hoots) busts the tire on the TourCelica. Things looked pretty grim as it was late and it’s hard to change a tire at that hour but luckily Beau is a super hero so we zipped over to PepBoys, got a new tire and then Beau used his laser vision and super strength to attach it to Erins car! Incredible!

We’re playing the Red Room on 82nd in Portland and I am so stoked! I used to live in this wonderful town so I have a lot of old friends coming out and it has been so so good to see all their faces!

I have to go. Geoff is hungry and we want to eat at The Vita Cafe. Mmmm, vegan food!
